Joseph S. Kile was born 9 November 1874 in Williamson County, Texas, and died 16 August 1907 in Santa Anna, Coleman County, Texas. He was the son of John Wesley Kile and Nancy Mary Ann Fish. He married Della A. Slack on 10 June 1896 in Coleman County, Texas, daughter of Dick Slack and Hariet. She was born 1 August 1875 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana, and died 13 November 1952 in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas.
