Jesse Crenshaw was born about 1815 in South Carolina and died about 1882 in Tate County, Mississippi. He was the son of Nathaniel Crenshaw and Sophia Lenderman. He married Jane Ross on 24 February 1845. She was born about 1825 in Tennessee.
